Frisco can be Oncor territory or CoServ territory
Frisco stretches across Collin and Denton counties, and electric-service boundaries do not match the city line neatly. The official city guide lists CoServ and Oncor-related resources, reflecting that different neighborhoods can have different providers and market rules.
For an Oncor service point, the local poles, wires and meter remain with Oncor while the customer selects a competitive REP. For a CoServ service point, CoServ is an electric cooperative that provides the electric service directly to its members. CoServ itself describes its territory as outside the deregulated shopping system and says members do not shop among REPs.
Because the market structure can change from one Frisco address to another, do not copy a neighbor’s provider list or assume a plan advertised for ZIP 75034 or 75035 applies everywhere in that ZIP. Verify the premise first.
